Towns Like Ours - A Turn RPG Supplement
Original Towns, Beast Archetypes, & Human Roles for playing Turn in new places.
Shapeshifters in Turn are always finding new things to get stressed out about, and new ways to ease that stress. Imagine what they can find as they go beyond the rural United States! This new original content for the Turn roleplaying game includes more time in small town in America in Smeed Hill, representing towns affected by economic crises, where you meet the human Holdout, and the beast Squirrel and Skunk. It also explores the ocean-front commuter town Harmouth in the United Kingdom, where you meet the human Traveller, and the beast Seagull and Badger. You also travel to Halver in Germany, based on the author's hometown and rich with history, introducing the human Snowake and beast European Hare and Grey Heron. Finally, this book opens up a detailed perspective on Italian culture, representing two towns and introducing the human roles of the Keeper and the Second Generation, and the beast archetypes of the Roe, Boar, Falcon, and a modified Bear.
There's so many miles and so many moments to experience in this collection, and enough material to tell different stories in the same towns as you find all the nooks and crannies of the town's history. And when you're done, you can simply take a trip to the next town! Find out how these towns are different, and how they're really just towns like ours, as you play.
This supplement is compatible with the Turn tabletop roleplaying game by Beau Jágr Sheldon and should be used with the Script Change RPG Toolbox for safety.

I've recently had the pleasure of looking through Turn and Towns Like Ours for my college's RPG club (where I'm the librarian), and I noticed something that struck me as kinda odd: how come we didn't get a seal beast archetype? Personally it was kinda a no-brainer to me, so I'm honestly a little shocked that seals are absent and we instead got seagulls. I will say otherwise, the book (and Turn as a whole) is great.
Hi!
That's a great point! Honestly, I just let the writers/designers choose what to design for their own contributions, so it was just mostly what they were excited about, less about hitting any expected notes. I also had hoped to do further supplements before my health worsened, and was going to do a town in Maine to add a seal someday! I agree it would be a really fun option. If you ever want to try designing one of your own, I would love to see it and share a link to it on the Turn pages here! Otherwise, hopefully sometime my health will allow me to do more.
Thank you so much and I really appreciate the feedback and support!
Oh, that makes sense. That supplement sounds amazing, and Maine would be very good for seals. Or maybe a town in northern California? I dunno, lot of seal places to choose from.
Hope your health takes a turn for a better too.
Lots of places with seals does give me more to play with! :)
Thank you!
